I have had two '54's, a Chevy and a GMC, both 5 windows. The 5 windows are called "deluxe cab", so I would guess they cost more when new and were considered better looking. My personal preference is the 5 w's., but as OKSoda said, when hot rodded (I guess chopped) the 3 w's look pretty good.
