If the leaking brake cylinder got brake fluid on the shoes, that contamination is possibly causing the lock-up you refer to. When it happened to me I cleaned the shoes the best I could, then purposly drove around with my foot very lightly on the brake pedal trying to wear the contamination off. After a couple of days the problem went away. If you get brake fluid on the shoes, no matter how well you clean you will have some lock-up for a while. The alternative is to replace the shoes. The come & go lock up is a bit of a puzzle but should eventually go away if it is brake fluid contamination.
