This is Boyo's forum and what he says goes. Yes,there is a gray area -- but it's up to Boyo to determine where that is. My intent, as the editor of the site, is to create a site for pre-73 GM trucks. If we start down the slippery slope of trying to be all things to all people, we will lose our focus. Again.
Is there an overlap? Probably -- that's where the gray area is. Is there some way your '89 S-10 question relates to pre-'73 GMs? Could be -- are you trying to retro S-10 equipment into your Stovebolt? A ha -- there's where we fit. BUT -- if you have a problem with your '89 S-10 (that has no crossover to a pre'73 Stovebolt), then this really isn't the web site for that. And Boyo is the one who makes the call in here. If he says no, then it's no. So, the answer is ... No. Not to be difficult, just honest.
I'm sorry, but we have to draw the line somewhere and we draw it at the changeover from the 1972 to 1973 model years.
