Ok I see what you trying, but it can be disappointing. A large number of people never tranfer the title to old trucks. I have several here that are in old owners names, some of them we got had changed owners several times and were never updated. The reason most dont do it is money. It costs between 15 and 100 dollars to tranfer one depending on what state you live and the rules in it. Some states dont even required the title on truck after a certain age, so it may just disappear from the records. My quess is its out there and the paper hasnt gone though an offical place. Also you dont even need to do the paper work if you have another truck with plates sitting around. Its pretty common here to switch the plates from truck to truck. You cant drive more than one at a time so why spend the money for several set of plates you dont use. I know its probally not legal but it done all the time. One of these trucks loooks pretty much like another one, and it would be hard to prove which one was really right and which was not.
