I am new to this sight but happy to say that I just purchased a 40 1/2 ton pickup truck in Sag Harbor New York. I always wanted one and when I saw the for sale sign I stopped and had to drive it. Never driving a three speed before the man was hesitant but went for a ride. It was great driving. Two days later I had it flatbedded for a three hour drive to Rockaway New York. I have been driving it with my three boys and have been getting honks and thumbs up everywhere we go. I had changed the rear brakes, rear wheel cylinders and rear axle seal and master cylinder. It still needs rear main seal and a drive shaft seal. I have been told its a 14 hour drive, not sure if I want to invest that much. I was told that it may still leak?? I know that I purchased it from a cabinet maker who used it for deliveries and he bought it 10 years ago from Hershey PA at a car show. Trying to find out the history of the truck, maybe through a registration search?? It may have been a farm truck because the stake bed is large . I need to repair it and wanted to keep it original but not sure how original that might have been. Any suggestions? I will post pix soon. Thanks
