Just something I've pondered for awhile. When you install a late model drivetrain in an old truck, what do you do with that crossmember that the original bellhousing attaches to? Do you leave it there and mount the new engine/tranny above it? Do you build a lower crossmember to replace it? Or is it safe to just remove it after installing new engine and transmission mounting crossmembers? TIA.
