I don't know about inconsistencies between different US plants, but I can tell you at least that Canadian-made trucks have some differences. My Canadian '42 has several small differences from American '42s, like locks in the handles instead of in the door. It also has one major difference, which is that even though the engine was cast in late '41, it is the casting that was used in the states only until 1940. Makes it interesting trying to find engine parts.

I think those quirks and imperfections are part of what make our trucks so special. They remind me of how much more human the manufacturing process was back then.
