For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 237 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2006 Posts: 237 | My 1958 1 ton has what appears to be a vaccum brake booster. The booster portion appears to be in fairly decent shape. I've not had the time to actually dig into the system to see where things are not working.
I plan on putting this truck back to more or less stock condition, but small modern upgrades are acceptable (i.e. a new modern booster). I don't plan on hauling 9600 lbs of grain on a regular basis with this truck but I do plan on using it occasionally for loads and would like good brakes.
What options are out there? What do you suggest? I'll be keeping the stock drum / drum brakes. Thanks. | | | |
