about '70. Chevy 1/2 tons with posi used the GMC
diff in '59 only. '60-'62 used an Eaton posi in
the 3rd member rearend. '63 and later have the
modern 12 bolt 8 7/8" rearend. My sources are the
'59, '60 Chevy and Chilton's '61-'71 truck manuals.
