When my 49 w/216 sits overnight the glass bowl fuel filter in front of the carb is 1/2 empty in the morning and requires extra cranking to fill up. Is there a ck valve in the fuel pump? I have rebuilt the carb twice now(not for this reason). I have the glass topped fuel pump also. I have a standard fuel pump off a 235 that I can try, but I'd like to understand why the fuel level drops.
