Hey - This is a real puzzle. I put a new fuel pump on 6 months ago. This is a Canadian repop with the glass bowl on top / brass mesh filter.
It is much stonger than the old pump and I had a hard time getting the old fittings tight enough to stop fuel leaks. When the engine is running, there are no leaks - but when I shut down the engine, fuel leaks from the new pump. All clamps are tight and the glass bowl is finger tight. I have a vented gas cap. I seem to have a pressure leak at shut down - not much, but enought to smell up the garage. Any suggestions?
