| | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 | I got a 4" total drop from "factory stock" in the rear of my '49 1/2 ton with 3" lowered leaf springs and 1" +/- from the conversion kit (to open driveline). I did not need to notch the frame. To be honest though, the "lowered" leaf springs raised the rear end an inch from the old sagging spring. Gazim is right though if you are wanting something more extreme.
Always get a 2nd opinion, especially if I am the source of the 1st opinion.
