Yes, the plastigages work as easy as it shows in the manuals. But, if you're not going to be rebuilding for a while, I'm with 52Pu, wait until your ready. It'll be a lot easier to do with the engine out and on a stand, than it will be while you're on your back with the oil dripping on your glasses. Besides, if you muck something up in the precess, you're kinda stuck until you get it fixed.
