That looks to be an original type heater blower or fog light switch. Although it may have come from a car, or been an after-market copy. The one's I've seen were darker, and the top side of the switch (flipper, for lack of a better idea) was labled as to what it controlled.
Is it a single switch, or double. The heater switch in my 52 is a double switch, with high being on first, and low being one notch down.
