If you don't have your front clip removed it's kind of tricky to pull trans and all, that's why you see so many with the top loop of the radiator support sawed off. You may have to hook to it twice, the first fairly balanced to shift ahead slightly and the second time toward the front to stand the engine-trans assembly nearly on end to clear the radiator loop. Be sure to drain both the engine and trans oil or it will get messy. The trans will want to hang on the bellhousing crossmember but with the right wiggling and cuss words it will come out. Much easier to seperate at the trans and remove in two pieces. Good luck.
