I'm no expert...but I have owned some 49/50/51 pickups and now have a 1945 2 ton flatbed. Is this a dually? What size tires? Mine is a dually w/7.50x20's. If you have 20"tires, the brake drums will be larger w/ larger shoes. The rearend will be heavy duty, not like the pickups.1.5 ton has different axle setup, the way its bolted into the rear housing. My truck has 2-spd. rear w/hand operated shift lever(ARM STRONG) Depending on wheel base, may have a 2piece drive line w/3 U-Joints and middle carrier bearing.I don't remember the PU's having this, maybe longbed 3/4 and 1 ton. I think cab and doors and such are all same, but like you said, fenders are larger. If you have 20" tires there may be some front axle/steering differences maybe in the linkage. Steering box is probably the same. I'm always looking for parts, but I'm in southern oregon.
