I have a 1939 JC Pick up truck. My title and vin states it was built in Dec.1938. The casting on my block 838710 crosses out to a 1938 block. The serial number located on the milled surfaced next to the distributer is I577549. I am unable to cross-reference the I577549 to find out this information. Does anyone know if the I in front of the number represents a number, letter, or a roman numeral? Does anyone know if this is the right motor for my truck? Does anyone know or have any web links that would be helpful in locating the answer to my question?
