If you come up 95 you'll pass right through Fredericksburg (between Richmond & DC). There's lots of Civil War history here, Washington's boyhood home, etc. You could also stop by my instructor's place just north of Richmond on 360 to watch some hang gliding (
www.blueskyhg.com). Obviously lots to see in DC, and maybe some in Richmond too. Be sure to time your travels up 95 during light traffic.
