I didn't know I had to drop the steerring colimn to get the gauge panel out to get to the gauges.
None of the gauges work. The truck has a Tach in the dash cluster, so I assume it was ordered that way. All gauges seem to match in appearance, so I assume they are all original. It sure would be nice to keep the gauges that are currently in the truck, but maybe not.
The padded dash panel needs to be replaced, and it has been explained to me that I'll have to remove the gauge panel to access part of it to replace it.
So, I guess I'll wait til I have the money to replace all gauges and the circuit board, just to be on the safe side, and the padded dash all at the same time.
I'm a newbie at this, and thanks for the input. This is gonna be a long-term project to me, and I don't mind spending a bit of money on the important things. I think gauges are very important.
I'll keep asking questions and listening to advice.
