Just bought a very original 2 owner 54 hardtop sport coupe...(always garaged, 62k orignal miles!)..
Underneath, the car has lots of caked on dirt..no rust anywhere,what's the best way to remove 52 years of old dirt without using water? Wire brush it? And whats the next step to protect underside of body..an undercoating spray? Where does one start in detailing this dirty filthy engine..(car runs very well) no probs there just want to do the right thing..have all the correct paints from Nat'l Chevy and Chevs of the 40's also. Thanks all.
