apachetrucks Wrench Fetcher A Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 199 TN	The infamous reversing switch was to protect the ignition points during the initial start procedure and is not required especially on electronic ignition. The thing was of poor design and was soon discontinued by GM in 48 or 49. Hobert "The Lord is my shepherd"
