I'm putting a '64-66 Mustang radiator into my '54 truck. I don't have the original radiator and my radiator support is a little cut up, so I can't say for sure if this would work with a stocker, but I think it would. Best part is that a heavy duty Mustang radiator can be had for about $150 shipped from eBay. Aluminum ones are less than $300.
