The only problem with the mustang tank is the sending unit is for a positive ground and GM uses a negative ground system. Or is it the other way around? Either way your sending unit will not function correctly if you use the standard ford unit. Other than that the early mustang tank(68-69 is the best bet for larger capacity) is a good way to go.
