Good Luck Kyle,
My daughter turns 16 next month. She has been bugging me since she was 14 to get her an old Chev truck. Being a Ford, (please be kind), man all my life, I tried to talk her out of it. She saw a bright lime green 57 Apache and fell in love. Two months ago she asked me if we could stop by an old wrecking yard that pass by when we visit her grandmother so that she could pick out an old wrecked Chevrolet truck to hot rod. I was way ahead of her. I had picked her up a 40 Chevrolet truck the month before and stashed it in a friends field.

We have a small group of rat rodders in our area. Two of these guys have really interesting trucks. One is a 36 Studebaker and the other was a 39 Chevrolet. I liked the Chevrolet so much that I found a 40 dump truck and bought it for my daughter. We are both working hard to get the project finished before summer. We are putting the cab and nose on a Chevy Luv truck frame, (reinforced).

I can't tell you how proud it makes a father feel when he is working on a project with one of his children. You and your dad have the right idea. Trust me, you'll treasure the memories more then you will the truck.
