What's sinful about going with the engine/trans combination that Y-O-U want. I'm entertaining a 350/700R4 combo myself for my '66 stepside. And I don't feel the least bit "guilty".  I kinda see it as a "do-it-the-first-time-and-get-it-over-with" thing. Since I plan on having a daily interstate driver with power brakes this serves my best interests. -ftyler | | |
