Thanks for inquiring, Fred. The new stat didn't work out either. I removed it on Monday.
It runs cold w/o one so I'm warming it up faster with a cardboard in front of the radiator. It must have a fissure in the head gasket. I don't think it's anything more than that.
When finances permit we will have it opened up & see how everything else looks in there.
I'm not pushing the sale of my Suburban too much because I need to have most of the kinks out of the truck for it to be my only driver. Although I need the $$$ from the sale to put a bit more into Jack :rolleyes: Anyone want a '98 3/4ton 4X4 with the 454 Vortec? Great for pulling stuff...$10,000. Buyer come pick it up & we'll have a carne asada & I'll pull out some rattlesnake meat that I harvested too
