I bought a '51 split windsheild, 216 babbit pouding spalsh oiling 1/2 ton with a 54 grill from a guy who said 'heres the original grill, lucky they didn't cut the '51 fenders for the '54 turnsignals.' When I tore down the front clip I realized the front fenders are '54 cause they are indented where the turnsignals on the '54 grill go.

I want to put the '51 grill on to match the rest of the truck, and cause I like it better.

Is the only difference between the '54 and '51 fenders the indentation for the turn signals (that I can fill w/bondo, pound flat or cut/weld/grind/sand)??? Or, do I need to start looking for a set of 47-53 fenders?

Also, does anyone have the lower splash panel for the grill, the one that looks like the upper radiator cover and goes under the grill?
