yes it's a Canadian Chevy model number, tho I haven't seen a list that gives weights/sizes above 1400, which is the US 3800 series
all the truck cabs and hoods are the same - the only difference is the fenders are a bit wider on the 1.5T and above, and the openings are cut a bit larger to the front to clear the 20" tires
free is good! if you can get some pics up somewhere for folks here to look at, they may be able to identify just which model you have - or at least we'd have more pics to look at, which is a favorite past time here
