Dusty the results are in regarding the broomstick sounding pole and the info isn't to good.

The souds are definately eminating from the # 6 cylinder area near the pan. I went to see the ol' boy who did the wo0rk and he says he'll look at it and seems to think that its a rod bearing and not the main. Any thought as to how serious of a fix this is, that being the case. And can this be done while its still in truck? I spoke to a fellow here in Phoenix and he says there is some noise down that way when the engine is not under load. And to answer the question posted about oil pressure at idle, it seems to be about 30#'s., but this seems to be irregular, as some times when I look its has no reading at all, could this imply some blockage in the flowthru filter ?
