Hardly - for one thing you could always put it back to original. And for another, its not like these trucks are so rare you have to preserve the last one for posterior. Its your truck so do it like you like it. For example I have a CD player, GMC Van seats, a power brake booster, a 292 I6, and kevlar brakes on my 59. It looks mostly stock, but these improvements made it a lot better to own.
