For the record, I have a real issue with sniveling, so take that in mond when reading my post here.

Maybe I'm just a smart a$$ and need to take my own advice here (see final line), but I've done alot of traveling around the world and everywhere I have been outside of North America they pay, on average, what we pay a gallon for one LITRE (for the metric challenged, thats roughly 3.8 times what we pay).
Most places are running smaller light weight cars with either Diesel engines or some odd little contraptions that get more mile for the buck than most things we can get here in the good ole US of A.
One might also note that every other well developed country in the world has mass transit systems that make ours look like kids playing with toy trains, all because the American public is too lazy/stubborn/retarded (circle your choice) to leave thier 8,000lb, 10MPG, 8 passenger urban assault vehicle at home so they can drive five miles to work every day, alone(usualy behind thier neighbors that work the same shift at the same place). Most common excuse is "it's easier for me", or "more convienient", as they drive around the parking lot for an eternity looking for the closest spot, usualy losing the further ones in that process. Finding all the spots full they have to go even farther away then hike in half a mile, all the while sneering at the pansies that get the van-pool spot next to the gate.
Yep, all kinds of easy & convienient, where do I sign up??

So, for my $.02, the average spoiled brat American needs to STFU & bite down on the price of fuel once in a while coz we got it damned good around here. When we are paying $8-10/gal like most of the rest of world, THEN we can b!t@h.

I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things.
But thats just MY opinion!
