autoazore Shop Shark A Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 209 California	Actually the main reason for putting a chevy V-8 in a ford since they came out in 55 was because they were more powerful than the flathead or the ford overhead at the time. Plus they fit better than a Y-block. completed1957 Chevy 1/2-ton
