I've just joined your forum and look forward to sharing info.My name is Ed,and I am currently restoring a '59 GMC 1/2 ton fleetside longbox model 9324(canadian built).This truck is going to be a driver,and is being mounted on a 1985 gmc 1/2 ton 4x4 chassis that has been shortened to the correct wheelbase.The chassis is fitted with a 6.2 litre diesel engine to which I am adding a turbocharger and intercooler.It also features a muncie 465 4 speed, 4" suspension lift,hydroboost braking, and all controls are being modernised to the '85 standard.
One item I am looking for info on is deluxe heater cores,mine is junk and I'm not about to spend $200 for a repro,I will probably adapt a similar readily available core,just wondering if anyone knows of a close match?
