| | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 258 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 258 | Chevy/ GMC offered 19.5" rims with the same bolt pattern beginning in the late '50s and continuing through the 1960's.
They will work too...be aware of one thing: the 19.5 " rims came in both 8-lug and 10-lug bolt patterns...
The 8-lug variety have four vent holes; the 10-lug have five vent holes.
Don't know what you'd "call" them; most guys refer to these as "Budd" wheels or pressed-steel as opposed to the cast-spoke/demountable-rim found on trucks running 20" or 22" rubber...
Check on the availability of 7.00 or 8.00 x 19.5 tires in your area...they used to be a popular fleet tire...
Gen-you-whine 18" truck tires are available from Universal and Coker, at not too much more than you'd pay for new Gooyear/Goodrich/Firestone if you could find them...
