Cattle can be conditioned to come to your location by certain yells, whistles, vehicles horns, or whatever. They will ignore the typical vehicle horn unless conditioned to it, i.e. such as blowing it every time you feed them.
However, a bull horn when sounded will bring any herd toward you without being conditioned to the particular horn. I don't know the reason they respond to the particular sound of a bull horn, but cattle will come on the run toward where it is being sounded from.

This reminds me when I was younger and just started working on a turkey farm. The owner also raised cows. Well, one morning I was driving the truck when I came to about 3 cows in the middle of the road. I tried moving slowly towards them, but they weren'tt moving. I honked the horn 2 or 3 times and the guy next to me burst out laughing. I'll bet 30 or 40 cows came running in from all directions and boxed the truck in. Man, those cow could fly! The guy explained to me (between fits of laughter) about the horn/feeding conditioning.
