You might want to play it safe and answer the key questions posed by Frank50.
"What size/model engine do you have? Is it full-flow or by-pass oil filter? "
Most likely you have an engine that takes a bypass oil filter but it is possible you have a 1958-1962 261 that has a full-flow system. The set-up of the block on a full-flow is different from on the by-pass engines.
