My current 261 project will have approximately $700 in machine work (magnaflux head, bore cylinders, new valve seats and guides, valve job, balance, size rods) approximately $1,000 in parts (pistons, rings, bearings, headers, intake, carbs, HEI distributor)plus $300 for the engine to rebuild. Sounds like an OK deal to me.
