on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 308 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 308 | Well I pretty much am running out of good wether days so I took a couple of extra days of to put my 46 1/2 ton bed back on. I started a couple of months ago taking the bed apart just to replace the floor and blocks under it. I found one of the side walls had a two inch stip from front to back tha needed the rust cut out and weld in new metal the other side was workable. This weekend the bed went back on for the winter, I used a good outside piece of plywood and painted it black and put it all back together. I also had to replace my ebrake cables on one side because it was frozen. (what a job that was). I am happy to say I drove the truck to work yesterday and it only had about half the bumping and creaking sounds it had before. It still smokes but that is next season.
