Some painters are more familiar with one brand of paint (or product line) than others. Paint technology is changing all the time, so it takes some effort just to stay current within a given brand. That's not to say a painter couldn't work with whatever you select. But, you might attain better results, with less hassles, by starting with a brand your painter has experience with. Dupont products are excellent, and your painter has somewhat pointed you in that direction. I'd recommend talking with him about the type of finish you want, and go from there.
