But around here it can be zero one morning, then 80 the following afternoon. I'd be wearing out the hood hinges opening and closing the valve. I also thought about using a vacuum actuated valve that's on my 69, but with a cam and vacuum wipers I don't know if I could stand any more vacuum loss. What I'm looking for is a valve that can be operated with a rod or cable and control the coolant flow through the heater.
