see this thread been cussed and discussed here a number of times over the years, and as I said above, after much research I was unable to find any bearings that were the exact correct size for the TF spindle and drum - GM engineers chose ball bearings over rollers for a reason [rollers are not "modern" and are used on some 50's models], and if everything is correct, they are fine and last a loooong time w/ no trouble - overtightening is a major cause of problems
