greg - they were commonly used on various linkages way back to keep the arm from slopping around in the hole, but most get chucked and replaced w/ cotter pins - needs to be the right size for the diameter of the shaft and the size of the hole, but if you've got some close they may work - only way to do the throttle linkage as the hole needs to be free and kept in the right position so the cable can slide freely when you use the pedal
