I posted here about 10 days ago that the glass shop broke my used, wrap-around windshield during installation. Today they installed a new piece of glass and the total charge was $220.00. I couldn't complain.
They said that this installation, unlike the first, went fast. When I left my truck the second time, I stopped by a tire store and they gave me a big blob of Murphy's gelatin oil soap which they use as a lubricant to get the tires on the rims. I had the glass guys apply the Murphy's to the rubber during the installation. This and the fact that the new glass is thinner than the old, made the installation go well.
