Hello all! I just found this forum. I grew up on the Chevy six-banger. As a child it was as much a part of life as anything else. My dad owned about a bazillion of them. My first car was a 51 sedan deluxe with 54 235, dual rochesters and fenton cast iron headers!
I recently purchased a 1970 C-10 1/2 ton with 250 six and 3 on the tree. I plan to do some modifications to the engine such as offy 3x1 manifold, headers, and a crane cam. I am wondering about the head. Will the 292 head bolt on the 250? If so, does it have bigger ports and valves?
