#19034 02/23/2004 6:39 AM | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 112 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 112 | I know the 283 was an option in '59 but what changes to the 235/3 speed crossmembers, drive shaft and rear end, do I have to make to swap in the 283 with a 350 turbo into it. I'm 6'2" tall and I feel like a monkey trying to shift and brake in this little cab (the power brakes are next). I want to keep the truck looking as stock as possible. Any other automatic that would bolt up to the 235 would work too. Thanks-
