The front suspension on those trucks is easy to repair... just replace the springs, bushings, tierods, pitman arm and ball joints...bingo, new truck...
you might need to adjust the steering gear box too...
It's all easy money, shouldnt take more than a day or two to replace everything...
I also bolted a big sway bar to the front of a 66 GMC, that made a bit of difference in how it handled.
