Woogeroo you seem to have the opposite problem with the quickie places. Down here they overtighten them so much it takes 3 men and a boy to get the filter and plug removed. My son just spent over an hour removing the filter on his Honda due to this problem. He's been taught to screw on the filter until the gasket makes contact then another 3/4 turn. Easily comes off without tools the next time around.
