Just when I thought I would be driving my truck, what can go wrong will go wrong. Clocked in about 60 miles on the rebuilt 350. All of a sudden the truck starts to run like cow manure. What do you suppose could be wrong? Well I will tell you. Tryed to set the timming, no luck. Mybe I should install a carb kit, still no luck. Mybe I will do a leak down test. Three cylinders are at 60 to 70% leakage, other side I can't do because the head's wall is thinner and the leak down tester screws in to a point and then just flops in the hole. Well of come the heads. Not an easy task with the widend fenders on. Half of the valve springs are tightened to 1 and half times past no free play, result burnt valves. Upon futher inspection one of the springs is broken and has screwed it self together. I took the heads back to the shop and the have gotten me new ones and a gasket kit at no charge, Nice but I am still out my time and a bunch of hours for my buddys help. Phoned the shop back to whine and they said that the next engine I have built is on the house. Guess I can live with that. Got the m installed by 11.30 pm today and fired it up. Everything looks good now. With any luck I should be on the road by friday. cool Finally
