I am not sure this is the proper forum for this, but here goes! I was cutting up a 55/1st cab with my sawzall in preparation for a trip to the dump. As I sawed from the rear window opening around to the drivers side the sawzall caught on something and jumped and squealed, refusing to go much. I pushed a little harder, then tried it from the other direction, which worked. After removing the top, what did I find in the cubby hole between the inner and outer panels? I found a 30 round M-14 clip with 15 bullets in it...I had sawed the bottom off and the spring fell out.
Laying along side this was a plastic holder with three 30-30 shells in it. Evidently they had been shoved into the roof area and had fallen down..there was no headliner in this truck. My son thought it was a cool find. I am not gun wise and thought maybe I could have fired them had I hit them just right with the sawzall. The real scary part is that I almost used a torch! Maybe this is what you get when you chop up a AD truck!! Maybe God is a Stovebolter.
