I have removed 2 leafs from the rear(not the shortest one but the 2 after that)I had 8 leafs to begin with and now 6 lowered it and rode smoother.Now as far as loads I dont know because my truck was retired, she was just for looks ,cruzin around , no more hard work for her, and it was just fine. I pur 15 x 8 with 70 ser. tires and clearance was ok also. Hope this helps, Mike
